L2 Ranch is located in Oakley, Utah at the base of the Uinta Mountains. Oakley has a rich farming background dating back to the early 1900s — it was then that the L2 brand was government-appointed to the first generation of our family’s cattle ranch.
Nearly 100 years and six generations later, the backbone of the operation remains the same. Our cows are wintered under the windbreak benches of Oakley near the Weber River and graze the Uinta-Wasatch National Forest above 8,000 ft elevation in the summer on the same permit L2 cattle roamed since the beginning.
In 2020, Clif and Chelsey Leavitt transitioned the original cow/calf operation to sell direct-to-consumer — sharing the same beef they’d been feeding their family for generations with their friends, community, and now families across the region.
Health is a top priority for us. The beef we offer our customers is the same beef we feed our own children. That’s our only quality standard.
